"Then I suggest you come up with an answer before we tell him anything else," Margaret said. "Aldric is results oriented. If you give him the answer to his problems he won't worry about the background information."
"Right," Evan said as he scratched his head. "I suppose I could find a way to reinforce the barrier so that the matter can't get through. Do you think you can buy me a couple of days?"
"I might be able to do that, but the sooner you can finish, the better our chances of his not figuring out something is up." Margaret turned to leave and did not look over her shoulder when she said, "Don't let me down here, Evan. Success means everything this time."
