Evan watched her leave then threw his coffee mug against the wall across the room. It did not shatter with a satisfying crash, rather it broke into three pieces and fell to the floor with a clatter. "Stupid shatter-proof glass," he muttered as he got up from his chair and picked up the pieces. The splattered coffee would have to wait until one of the technicians came in for his shift. He looked around and did not see any of the hot brown liquid on any of the equipment, so she shrugged and went back to his chair, tossing the cup into the trash on his way.
