Lilly and Justin deal with crime and other adventures with Elves, Goblins and Monsters in an Urban Fantasy world.
I have to admit, I wasn’t sure what I was in for, but this ended up being a pretty good urban fantasy story. Eric Swett can put together a good little novel, good writing and dialogue, and well paced. I sort of assumed this was YA, as its written so kids could read it, but I think adults could read it too.
The only thing is Mr Swett (if you are reading this) please pay for better cover art!!! The art looks really cheap and I almost didn’t buy it because of that, but these are good books and need a good cover.

I enjoyed this a lot. Kept me guessing. Makes me think of Kadras’ Sandman Slim series, with a side of Good Omens.

The sequel improves on the first book, in that a lot more starts to fall into place: including the direction of the next book(s). This is a great example of apocalyptic urban fantasy, with great characters and even better villains. Looking forward to the next installment!
