Gripping and imaginative
This is an incredibly captivating and thrilling urban fantasy novel that will have you hooked from the very first page. I was completely enthralled by the unique and intriguing concept of a fallen Angel, who also happens to be Death himself, taking on the task of investigating supernatural murders.
The author has masterfully created a world where ancient mythology and modern-day urban life seamlessly blend together. The protagonist, Justin, is a complex and deeply fascinating character. As one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, his internal struggle to regain his lost abilities and memories is both gripping and emotionally charged. It is refreshing to see a character who is not only flawed but actively working towards redemption and self-discovery.
The plot is fast-paced and full of unexpected twists and turns. The string of supernatural murders that Justin is asked to investigate becomes much more personal when he realizes his connection to them. This adds an extra layer to an already gripping story. The author’s ability to keep the suspense and mystery alive throughout the novel is truly impressive.
