Pretty decent urban fantasy! This thing is a page turner. It’s fast paced and interesting. Tons of action, great twists for the fallen angel of death. I really like that his girlfriend, Lilly, has “no sight” yet can see better than anyone around. She sees “beyond”, and what a pretty cool superpower to have to aid the Grim Reaper. Perfect for living in the shadows. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this book, but pretty quickly, I was hooked and simply had to keep reading. If you like edge-of-your-seat action, then here it is! You’ll get a unique story with unusual elements, and top of all that, it’s well written. Good read!

I enjoyed this a lot. Kept me guessing. Makes me think of Kadras’ Sandman Slim series, with a side of Good Omens.

The sequel improves on the first book, in that a lot more starts to fall into place: including the direction of the next book(s). This is a great example of apocalyptic urban fantasy, with great characters and even better villains. Looking forward to the next installment!
